If your company already has an event in place, adding a charitable component can provide many benefits. It can fulfill your corporate social responsibility mandate, and create a positive impression on event participants, customers, and business partners, all while supporting a great cause.
Here’s what one company did:
The Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship debuted in Toronto in 2009. The Friends of We Care CEO Challenge was added in 2016 and brought together executives for a 2-minute poutine eating showdown. In that first year, the event raised $50,000 for We Care kids! The challenge has exploded since then and raised more than $400,000 to send kids with disabilities to fully accessible summer camps!
